I am experiencing problems with OneTrade Basic/OneTrade PRO
Q: How do I join/open an account?
A: To join OneTrade all you need to do is print and complete the online trading application form and post it in to us, along with a certified copy of your identification, to Locked Bag 35008, Collins Street West VIC 8007.
Q: How do you settle transactions/pay and receive money?
A: Clients are able to settle trades through their preferred method, however most clients settle trades by direct debit/credit straight to their nominated bank account. This means that you DO NOT need to open any new cash management trust accounts just to trade with OneTrade. Clients wishing to place trades of $10,000 or more are required to settle to a CMTwith cleared funds.
Q: Can you settle to a margin lending account?
A: Of course, clients can settle their trades through the margin lender of their choice. Click here to find a list of margin lenders.
Q: What are your brokerage fees & charges?
A: Fees differ whether you choose to trade online or by phone, as well as which trading platform you choose. Please read through our fee schedule as well our Financial Services Guide.
Q: Do you offer frequent trader discounts?
A: Our brokerage fees for both online trading and phone trading are already among the cheapest rates available, but we are willing to go one step further. Online traders using our OneTrade PRO platform can get free monthly access, including any ASX data fees, by completing only 5 or more trades in a month. This equates to a saving of up to $96.25 every month!
Q: Can we negotiate cheaper brokerage?
A: You may be eligible for even cheaper brokerage rates, however it will depend on the total number of trades completed each month. Have a look at our super traders page.
Q: What is OneTrade Basic?
A: OneTrade Basic is our starting platform for new & less frequent investors. This platform is based on the htmlIRESS platform and has less features and functionality than OneTrade PRO.
Q: What is OneTrade PRO?
A: OneTrade PRO is our professional platform for traders & frequent investors. This platform is based on the webIRESS platform and is considered the industry standard for sophisticted trading platforms.
Q: Who can certify documents?
A: A number of professional people can certify documents, the most common of which are: Australia Post Branch Manager, Bank Manager, Justice of the Peace, Pharmacist, Solicitor & Teacher.
Q: Why do we have to get our identification certified?
A: To ensure you are not a money launderer or terrorist, the Government requires stockbroking companies (such as OneTrade) to correctly identify their client, which falls under the rules called "know your client". Plus, we want to know our clients anyway.
