03/11/2008 - Market Open on Non-Settlement Day - Melbourne Cup!
Tomorrow is a non-settlement day due to the Melbourne Cup Public Holiday, however the market is still open for trading.
27/10/2008 - Macquarie CMT Deposits 100% Guaranteed
Following from the announcement by Macquarie Bank Limited, all funds held in Macquarie CMT accounts are 100% invested in Australian regulated bank issued securities and deposits, 100% of which are eligible for the Government guarantee. To view this announcement, click here.

Today is a non-settlement day due to the Labour Day holiday is some states, however the market is still open for trading.
25/09/2008 - ASIC Update on Short Selling
Please refer to ASIC's website for an update on short selling www.asic.gov.au. A reminder to OneTrade clients that short selling is not permitted in any case and clients are only able to sell securities they hold.
22/09/2008 - ASIC Ban on All Short Selling
Following on from ASIC's announcement, there is now a ban imposed on short selling. We will post more information as ASIC and ASX progress.

22/09/2008 - ASX Open Delayed at Least 30 Minutes
ASX have delayed market open by at least 30 minutes.
01/09/2008 - Changes to ASX Fail Fees
Due to the change in ASX fail fees which take effect today, fail fees for buy trades will be $110 per day and fail fees for sell trades will be $110 per day or 0.11% up to $5500. All clients are encouraged to ensure they have more than sufficient funds to cover their trades by settlement date (T+3). Please see our Financial Services Guide for all fees.

22/01/2008 - CommSec Crashes, OneTrade Flawless
A quick reminder that bigger doesn't equal better. During today's morning session, CommSec's website reportedly crashed for 25 minutes under heavy trading (which is not the first time it's happened), clearly proving they cannot properly service their clients during busy periods. OneTrade's share trading service, which is made up of systems provided by IRESS Market Technology and UBS Securities today operated flawlessly. We encourage you all to make the switch to OneTrade for a better share trading service.
